We specialize in creating family-friendly fishing experiences that prioritize safety and enjoyment for all ages. Our 4-hour nearshore trips are designed to keep younger anglers engaged with frequent action from Snapper and Spanish Mackerel. Captain Robwil ensures a relaxed environment on the boat, utilizing comfortable bean bag seating and an easy-going pace suitable for children and beginners. These adventures are the perfect way to introduce the next generation to the water while enjoying the scenic beauty of the Treasure Coast in a secure and professional setting.

Fishing Year-Round in Stuart and Lake Ida

One of the best aspects of our region is the ability to enjoy fishing year-round thanks to the diverse habitats of South Florida. During the winter months, we focus on the famous Sailfish run offshore and the peak season for Clown Knifefish in the warmer freshwater canals. As the temperatures rise, the bite for Mahi-Mahi and nearshore Snook becomes the primary focus. No matter the season, our services remain a reliable choice for finding the best bite. V-Strike Charters Nearshore & Offshore Update fishing report coverpicture

February 20, 2026

Saint Lucie Inlet - Martin, FL Fishing Report on 20th Feb, 2026

Nearshore & Inlet Update The St. Lucie Inlet has been productive for guests on our 4-hour nearshore fishing charter in Stuart, FL. Despite a few late-winter cold fronts, water clarity remains good along the beaches. We are finding a consistent bite for Snapper and Spanish Mackerel near Peck’s Lake. Cobia have also begun to show up, often seen following rays along the surface. For those looking for a high-paced morning, the Pompano bite on the nearby flats has been excellent using sand fleas and jigs. Offshore & Deep Sea Action Conditions for a full-day offshore fishing charter from Stuart, Florida, have been favorable this week. The Gulf Stream is sitting about 9 miles east of the inlet, bringing blue water and pelagic species within easy reach. Sailfish: The bite is steady; we are seeing multiple chances daily by kite fishing with live runners. Mahi & Tuna: We have found good numbers of Mahi-Mahi in the 120' to 200' range. Blackfin Tuna are active early in the morning and late in the afternoon, especially around the local wrecks. Bottom Fishing: For those preferring the reef, Deepwater Snapper and Amberjack are providing plenty of rod-bending action. Freshwater: Lake Ida Report The exotic bite remains hot for our guided kayak fishing trips on Lake Ida. As the water warms mid-day, the Peacock Bass become highly aggressive. We are also landing trophy-sized Snakehead and the occasional Clown Knifefish in the canal systems. This is the best time of year for a quiet, productive kayak outing in the Delray Beach area. Upcoming Outlook With a mild high-pressure system moving in for the weekend, boating conditions look ideal. Whether you want to book a private 4-hour nearshore fishing charter in Stuart, FL, or a full-day offshore adventure, the variety of species currently in our waters is impressive.
